Abstract

M. Shiediq Sa' bana 2024 THE EFFECT OF COMPETITION CYLINDER HEAD MODIFICATION PERFORMANCE ON 2-STROKE ENGINE COMPRESSION PRESSURE Mechanical Engineering Thesis Report Faculty Of Engineering and Computer Science Pancasakti University Tegal The purpose of this study is to determine the results of the analysis of modified cylinder head modifications with standards by changing the compression volume, power, torque. The purpose of the research is to improve engine performance in terms of torque, power and rpm by direct testing using a tachometer, the testing process with 2 conditions of standard cylinder heads and those that have been modified with higher rpm, as well as power and torque from the standard. Changes from the modification of cylinder head 1 have a moderate rpm at 6,750, with a torque of 13.5 Nm and a power of 9,537 Watts. For modification 2, it has a relatively higher compression pressure than modification 1, which is 195 psi with 7,925 Rpm, torque of 13.5 Nm and power of 11.78 Watts. For modification 3 has a torque of 13.5 Nm and 8,686 and power of 12,204 Watts and has a compression pressure of 210 psi and a compression ratio of 14.8: 1. For changes to the cylinder head, this modification is done by reducing the compression volume in the modified head section, while to modify the cylinder head, this competition must calculate the compression pressure using a compression tester measuring instrument, where, to consider standard pressure or that which has been modified. In the 2nd measurement, rpm stands for rotations per minute where rpm is used to find out whether the modified rpm is higher than the standard or even decreases. After measuring the rpm, the compression volume section must be checked. The denser the compression volume, the hotter the engine or commonly called over head. Over head is excessive heat caused by an engine that has too large a compression volume. Performance is the power generated by the engine when the engine is tested / used on the highway. The understanding of power is the amount of work done per unit of time. Meanwhile, the definition of torque is the cause of an object rotating or can be interpreted in a motorbike as when the motorbike is running with a passenger loaded when first pulling the gas. Tujuan riset untuk meningkatkan performa mesin dari segi torsi, daya maupun rpm dengan pengujian langsung menggunakan alat tachometer, proses pengujian dengan 2 kondisi cyilinder head standar dan yang sudah modifikasi lebih tinggi rpm, maupun daya dan torsi dari standarnya. Perubahan dari modifikasi cyilinder head 1 mempunyai rpm yang sedang diangka 6.750, dengan Torsi 13,5 Nm dan daya 9.537 Watt. Untuk modifikasi 2 relatif mempunyai tekanan kompresi yang lebih tinggi dari modifikasi 1, yaitu 195 psi dengan 7.925 Rpm torsi 13,5 Nm dan daya 11.78 Watt. Untuk modifikasi 3 mempunyai Torsi 13,5 Nm serta 8.686 dan daya 12.204 Watt dan mempunyai tekanan kompresi diangka 210 psi serta Rasio kompresi 14,8 : 1. Untuk perubahan cyilinder head modifikasi ini dengan cara mengurangi volume kompresi dibagian head yang telah dimodifikasi sedangkan, untuk memodifikasi cyilinder head kompetisi ini wajib memperhitungkan tekanan kompresi menggunakan alat ukur berjenis kompresi tester yang dimana, untuk mempertimbangkan tekanan standar maupun yang telah dimodifikasi. Pada pengukuran ke 2 rpm singkatan dari rotasi per menit dimana rpm guna untuk mengetahui rpm yang telah dimodifikasi apakah lebih tinggi dari standarnya atau malah jadi menurun pengukuran rpm menggunakan tachometer sehabis pengukuran rpm wajib dicek bagian volume kompresi semakin padat volume kompresi maka, semkain panas dimesin atau biasa disebut over head. Over head adalah panas yang berlebihan disebabkan oleh mesin yang mempunyai volume kompresi terlalu besar. Performa adalah tenaga yang dihasilkan oleh mesin ketika mesin itu dites / digunakan dijalan raya. Untuk pengertian daya adalah jumlah usaha yang dilakukan tiap satu satuan waktu. Sedangkan pengertian torsi adalah penyebab suatu benda berputar ataupun bisa diartikan di motor ialah ketika motor berjalan dengan dibebani penumpang pada saat pertma narik gas.
