Abstract

Implementation of Overtime in the company is something that must be monitored by the government. Oversight carried out by the government aims to prevent and reduce the possibility of a reduction in the rights of workers and employers. Based on the 1945 Constitution as the basis, the oversight function carried out by the government must be optimal. Based on the above, the assessment in this study aims to find out how the form of government oversight in the implementation of Overtime and to analyze what factors are hampering the Government's oversight in the implementation of Overtime in private companies in Tegal Regency. The type of legal research used is empirical legal research or sociological juridical means that with a legal approach as a law in action, it is described as an empirical social phenomenon with interviews and literature study methods to achieve research results. Respondents in this study were the Head of Manpower and Transmigration Office of Tegal Regency. This research was conducted at the Tegal Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office as an agency that has the authority to carry out oversight overtime implementation in Tegal Regency, including in Tegal Regency as the research area. The technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis and is carried out with logical data analysis techniques with inductive methods.
