The First Advisor Bayu Widiyanto, M.Si The Second Advisor Mobinta Kusuma, M.Pd Keywords: video media, the ability to think critically, the attitude of caring for the environment The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the level of effectiveness of video media with environmental education on students 'critical thinking skills, and (2) to determine the effect of the application of video media with environmental education on students' environmental care attitude. This research is an experimental study using a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was 256 grade students at SMP Negeri 14 Tegal City in the 2019/2020 academic year. The sampling technique used simple random sampling and obtained class VII F as the experimental class and class VII B as the control class. The instruments used were lesson plans, test questions, student attitude questionnaires, and validation sheets. This validation sheet contains content and construct validation sheets. The data was analyzed using the independent sample t-test and N-Gain. The results showed that: (1) The effectiveness level of video media with environmental education on critical thinking skills was categorized as quite effective with the acquisition of N-gain critical thinking skills of 56.60%. (2) The application of video media with environmental education on the environmental care attitude of students has a good effect, with a class average gain of 86%.
