Abstract

Environmental problems are becoming bigger, more widespread and serious. One of the environmental problems is waste management where there is a limited ca-pacity of the government in dealing with waste production and collection prob-lems which continue to increase every year. The waste problem also causes a de-crease in the environmental quality of the community. This study aims: (1) To ex-amine the implementation of Article 13 of Law Number 18 Year 2008 concerning waste management in Suradadi District, Tegal Regency towards the environment (2) To determine the obstacles to the environment in managing waste in Suradadi District, Tegal Regency. The type of research used is descriptive analytic, which is to reveal laws and regu-lations relating to legal theory as the object of research. Likewise the law in its application in society regarding the object of research. The approach used is a normative approach and an empirical approach. Data collection techniques through literature study and field research. And analyzed qualitatively and interpreted logically and systematically, deductive and inductive frame of mind will help this research, especially at the level of consistency, as well as conceptual with the producers and the procedures are determined by the generally accepted principles in the legislation. The results showed that the volume of waste management continues to increase every year in Suradadi District, causing the environment around the temporary dumpsite to be disturbed. The obstacle that occurs is that the collection of waste carried out by the 3R waste management sector has been carried out but cannot routinely every day due to limited fleets.
