Abstract

Diaz Eka Fadila, 2021, The Influence of Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Inflation Rate, and Exchange Rate on Stock Prices of Food and Beverage Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2020. In this era of globalization that has both good and bad impacts on the business world, investment activities are facing a fairly rapid increase, especiallycompanies food and beverage which are believed to be a promising investment and continue to grow in line with economic developments. Investors in investing must look at several aspects of financial performance as well as macro analysis. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of debt to equity ratio (DER), inflation, and exchange rate on stock prices ofcompanies food and beverage. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression analysis, to determine and predict the effect of debt to equity ratio (DER), inflation, and exchange rate on stock prices. This research uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from financial reports through the website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and Bank Indonesia (BI) with purposive sampling technique. From what was done in this study, it was obtained that the debt to equity ratio (DER) had an effect on the stock price ofcompanies food and beverage. Meanwhile, inflation and exchange rate variables have no effect on stock prices. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that macroeconomic variables, namely inflation and the exchange rate in showing an influence on stock prices, do not have a significant impact on stock prices so that investors in investing to better see aspects of the company's financial performance first, one of which is the debt to equity ratio ( DER). Keywords: Food and Beverage, Stock Prices, Multiple Regression Analysis
