Abstract

Background Environmental problems are becoming increasingly large, widespread and serious. The problem is not only local or translocal, but regional and global. Impacts that occur on the environment are not only related to one or two aspects, but the hooks are hooked in accordance with the nature of the environment which has multiple eyes that affect each other subsystems. If one aspect of the environment is affected, then various other aspects will also experience impacts or consequences such as pollution of damage to natural resources. This study aims: (1) To find out the role of the Tegal Regency Environmental Office in maintaining water quality and water pollution control. (2) To find out the factors that hinder the Role of the Tegal Regency's Office of Environment in Water quality Management and Water Pollution Control. This type of research is analytical descriptive, namely expressing legislation relating to legal theories as the object of research. Likewise the law in its implementation in society regarding the object of research. The approach used is a normative approach and an empirical approach.
