Abstract

Abstract This article discusses taqlid and talfiq in the conception of Islamic Law. With the aim of knowing taqlid and talfiq in the conception of Islamic law and the extent to which both affect people's understanding of Islam. This article uses qualitative research based on the library (library research) with a descriptive approach to qualitative and technical descriptive analysis and content analysis. The results of this study indicate that taqlid and talfiq are phenomena of understanding religious diversity in Islamic societies. Taqlid arises when someone is unable and does not want to get Islamic laws directly from the source and is more happy and satisfied to refer to the thought products of the ulama especially the school of scholars.
