Abstract

Husain, Ahmad. 2022. 1618500033 : “Assesing Digital Literacy of Eight-Semester Students to Use Kahoot! at English Education Department Universitas Pancasakti Tegal”. Research Project. Strata 1 Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pancasakti University Tegal. The First Advisor is Yuvita M. Pd. and The Second Advisor is Anin Eka Sulistyawati, S.S., M.Hum Key words: Digital Literacy, Kahoot!, Pre-service Student This research aims to measure the level of digital literacy and the use of Kahoot! then find the connection between them. The writer used qualitative approach with case study research with 20 participants from Eights Semester Student of English Education Department Univerisitas Pancasakti Tegal to find the results. The writer also use the assessment from the previos research and develop the own instrument of interview to find the deeper understanding of the use of Kahoot!. The result shown that 15 (75%) students are in intermediate level and 5 (25%) students are in the basic level. Then the group of basic level in digital literacy reach the score at the use of Kahoot! at attractiveness (1,77), perspicuity (0,95), efficiency (0,45), dependability (0,85), and novelty (1,95). Meanwhile, the intermediate in digital literacy group reached the higher scores to using Kahoot! At attractiveness (1,99), perspicuity (1,37), efficiency (1,45), dependability (0,98) and novelty (1,45). But the group of the basic level also reach a better score at stimulation (1,95) than intermediate group stimulation (1,45). This research concludes that the digital literacy has the connection with the use of Kahoot! except in stimulation that means both the students has the basic level and intermediate level. They are interested to use Kahoot! Further research need to find out the benchmark of digital literacy level for university students and the quantitative research for correlation study between media and digital literacy.
