Abstract

Concrete is a building material consisting of a mixture of coarse aggregate,fine aggregate, cement and water in a certain ratio. With so many constructionbuildings using concrete, the need for concrete increases. Therefore, concreteinnovationisalwayscarried outto answerconcreteneeds. Thisepoxyresiniscompatiblewithallcommonreinforcingfibersincludingfiberglass, carbon fiber, aramid, and basalt. This occurs due to the cooling processofusingwasteglasswhichcanbesaidtobethemostsuitableasapartialreplacement for fine aggregate and cement, due to its chemical composition andphysicalproperties.Thisresearchisintendedtocreatenewexperimentalstudiesinthe process of using epoxy resin as an additive in concrete to determine thecompressive strength ofconcrete. At theageof7 days, 14days, 28days. From the percentage addition of epoxy resin by weight of cement 3%, 5%,and 7%, the results of the compressive strength test at the age of 7 days wereobtained with the results of an average compressive strength of 8.78 MPa; 10.47MPa; and 16.55 MPa. And at the age of 28 days, the average compressive strengthresultswerealsoobtained,namely23.21MPa;27.08MPa;and37.84MPa.Theuseof the percentage addition of epoxy resin to the weight of the cement is higher, thehigher the compressive strength of the concrete, so it can be concluded that themixture of epoxy resin variations of 3% cement weight has no significant effect,whereas the 5% and 7% variation mixture can increase the compressive strengthvalue. as well as achieving the planned compressive strength value target of 37.84MPa at 28 daysof concreteage.
