Abstract

Faiz Abdul Ghofir. NPM. 3219500001. "The Effect of Catfish Pond Mud, Tofu Dregs and Rice Bran in Culture Media on the Growth and Population of Silkworms (Tubifex Sp) Supervisors: Suyono and Ninik Umi Hartanti. Silkworms (Tubifex sp) are an alternative natural feed that can be developed. Silk worms are needed for fish growth because they contain high nutrients, to support silk worm feed (Tubifex Sp) requires suitable nutrition and living media. The media in question is a material substance in this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of catfish pond mud, tofu dregs and rice bran as cultivation media for the growth and population of silkworms (Tubifex sp). The study used the Complete Randomized Design (RAL) method with 3 treatments and one control. The results showed that each treatment differed markedly on growth and population. Treatment A was the best treatment with a growth of 16.45 g and a silkworm population of 3.757 ind/gr, followed by treatment B with a growth of 13.13 g and a population of 3.126 ind/gr, then treatment C with a growth of 9.66 gr and population 3.010 ind/gr, and the lowest treatment D on growth was 7.24 gr and population 2.965 ind/gr.Water quality during the study was within a decent range for the life of silkworms (Tubifex sp).
