Abstract

Dory Pandeka. NPM. 3221600016. The Effect of Feeding Pellets, Mosquito Larvae (Culex sp), and Silk Worms (Tubifex sp) on Hatching Rates of Betta Fish Fry (Betta sp) at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Panca Sakti Tegal. (Supervisor Suyono and Nurjanah). Betta fish is a type of ornamental fish that is popular with the community and is easy to cultivate. SOne of the obstacles faced was the lessthan optimal hatching rate of betta fish fry, so that they were given feed according to their needs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different feeding on the hatching rate of betta fish fry. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatments A (Mosquito Larvae), B (Pellets), and C (Silk Worms) each treatment had 3 replications with a density of 1 per bottle. Research materials for mosquito larvae (Culex sp), pellets, and silk worms (Tubifex sp). Statistical analysis used the Normality test, Homogeneity test, and Duncan's Anova test. The results of this study indicate that research on mosquito larvae feed, pellets and silk worms has a significant effect on egg hatching rates and betta fish survival rates. Treatment A was the best treatment with a hatching rate of 96% and a survival rate of 97%. The water quality during the study was within the proper range for betta fish life. KEYWORDS: Betta fish, mosquito larvae, pellets, silk worms, egg hatching and survival.
