Abstract
NABILA AYUNINGTYAS E. (NPM : 3119500010) Analysis of the Utilization Status of Mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.) Landed at Pekalongan Archipelago Fishery Port (PPN), Pekalongan City. (Supervisors: Kusnandar and Noor Zuhry). Mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.) is a schooling fish, so it is very easy to catch in large quantities. This is because this species is widely caught for consumption because it has a dense meat texture and contains high nutritional value and has a profitable selling value compared to other pelagic fish. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between length and weight and condition factors of mackerel, determine the sustainable potential, optimum effort and utilization status of mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.). The material used in this study was mackerel (Rastrelliger spp.) at the Pekalongan Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), Pekalongan City. The research method used is a case study with a quantitative approach using interviews, observation and documentation as data collection techniques. The results showed that the YMSY value was 1,704.098 tons/year, Be was 3,518 tons/year, JTB was 1,363.28 tons/year and Fopt was 120 trips/year (Schaefer) and the YMSY value was 1,408.967 tons/year. Be amounted to 3,518 tons/year, JTB amounted to 1,127.173 tons/year and Fopt amounted to 98 trips/year (FOX). The average utilization rate shows 102% which means over-exploited. This condition is highly recommended to reduce fishing effort so as not to disturb its sustainability. Keywords: Mackerel, Utilization Rate, MSY, JTB
