Abstract

GINA ZAETTIKA (NPM : 3120600004) Perceptions of 30 GT Danish Seine Net Fishermen at the Tegalsari Coastal Fishing Port (PPP), Tegal City towards Measurable Fishing Policies. (Advisor: Noor Zuhry and Sri Mulyani). The Measured Fishing Policy (PIT) is a new policy regarding quota and zonebased fishing. The Tegalsari Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) is included in WPPNRI 712. This policy determines that the Tegalsari PPP is included in the industrial zone. The aim of this research is to analyze the level of perception of 30 GT bag net fishermen in PPP Tegalsari, Tegal City regarding the Measurable Fishing policy. The material used as the object of this research is 30 GT Pocket Drag Net fishermen based at the Tegalsari Coastal Fishing Port (PPP), Tegal City. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a descriptive case study method. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis and Guttman scale analysis to see the level of fishermen's perception of the Measured Fishing (PIT) policy. The results of the research show that the overall average score obtained was 46.18, which shows the position of fishermen's attitudes or fishermen's perceptions that fishermen do not agree with the existence of the Measured Fishing (PIT) policy. Measurable fishing policies that focus on zones and quotas have an impact on overlapping fishing areas and the duration of fishermen's trips, so this policy is considered very inappropriate and detrimental to fishermen, so it must be reevaluated.
