Abstract
In this research, the lifting hook has been redesigned with topology optimization and fatigue analysis has been carried out. With the density-based method, volume minimization can be achieved. All processes have been realized with the help of the finite element method implemented in commercial software. The standard lifting latch model has been used in the process. After optimization, the standard lifting latch was renovated with Solidwork software. Then the new model is analyzed. This process was repeated for three different models. Based on the results obtained, the topology optimization carried out within the scope of the study shows that it is possible to redesign the lifting hook with reduced weight and at the same time meet the required strength properties.
