Abstract
ABSTRACT ANESTHI, ANDHINI SAFHIRA. 2020. The Effect of Zoning System Implementation on The Learning Achievement of Class X Students of SMK PGRI 2 Taman Academic Year 2019/2020. Essay. Keywords : Zoning System, Learning Achievement The zoning system is a new policy issued by the government to accelerate the distribution of quality education. The zoning system is expected to be able to eliminate discrimination between schools. However, this zoning system seems to limit students' choices. The zoning system shows that it not only has an impact on motivation but also student achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the zoning system application, 2) the level of student learning achievement of exposed learners and not affected by the application of zoning systems, and 3) whether at least a significant or not the zoning system had an effect on the learning achievement of class X students of SMK PGRI 2 Taman in the 2019/2020 academic year. This study uses a quantitative approach with non-experimental research type correlational. Population 574 and sample 56. Collecting data by means of questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The research instrument was tested by testing the validity and reliability using the Pearson product moment correlation formula and reliability testing with the Cronbach alpha formula. Data analysis used percentage descriptive statistics and simple regression analysis. The results of the research show: 1) the application of the zoning system which is the majority research sample in the sufficient category (26.7%). 2) the level of learning achievement of class X SMK PGRI 2 Taman Academic Year 2019/2020 is in the poor category (23.2%). 3) there is a negative and significant effect of the application of the zoning system on the learning achievement of class X SMK PGRI 2 Taman Academic Year 2019/2020. The results of the calculation of simple linear regression analysis obtained a = 155.060 and b = -0.052, so Y = 155.060-0.052X. The t test results obtained = -3,301 with = 1.673, because the value - <- then it can be concluded that the variable X has a negative effect on variable Y. If the value is Sig. smaller than α = 0.05, it can be said to be significant. From the calculation results, the Sig. = 0.002 <0.05 so it can be said to be significant. The suggestion that can be given to the teacher is that it is hoped that the teacher can improve skills in teaching in order to create a pleasant learning atmosphere so that it can arouse students' enthusiasm for learning.
