Abstract
ADINDA NISMARA CANDRAKANTI (NPM:3120600005) Analysis of Saprobic Tropic Index in the Estuary Waters of Ketiwon River Tegal City. (Supervisor: NOOR ZUHRY and HERU KURNIAWAN ALAMSYAH). Tropical waters are areas of the earth's surface, which are geographically located around the equator. Plankton is an important component in the life of aquatic biota as the most basic food chain. The purpose of this study was to analyze the trophic index of saprobic in ketiwon estuary Tegal. Saprobic Trophic Index (ITS) is a water quality evaluation method used to assess the level of organic pollution in waters. ITS focuses on saprophytic organisms, including phytoplankton and zooplankton. that the highest saprobic index value is at Station B which is 2.54 and for the lowest saprobic index value is precisely at Station A with a value of 1.85. If the saprobic index value and the saprobic tropic index are calculated on average from stations A, B and C, the results are 2.27 and 2.14, respectively. These results are included in the βMesosaprobic category, if the saprobic index and tropic saprobic index range from 2.1- 4 then included in the β-Mesosaprobic group. Diatoms have a high tolerance to fairly extreme water environmental conditions. Keywords: Trofik Saprobik Index, Ketiwon Estuary
