Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, sistem zonasi PPDB, dan motivasi belajar. Sistem zonasi merupakan landasan pokok penataan reformasi sekolah secara keseluruhan mulai dari TK, SD, SMP, hingga SMA. Adanya sistem zonasi ini adalah sebagai cara agar peserta didik bisa berdaptasi dengan sekolah yang dianggap mereka tidak disukai. Aturan sistem zonasi penerimaan peserta didik baru 2019 berbeda dibanding tahun lalu. Temuan awal menunjukkan bahwa PPDB berbasis zonasi di sana berdampak tidak hanya pada karakteristik peserta didik yang diterima sekolah tapi juga proses pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1) pelaksanaan sistem zonasi penerimaan peserta didik baru, 2) tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik, dan 3) ada tidaknya pengaruh sistem zonasi penerimaan peserta didik baru terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tegal Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian non eksperimen bersifat korelasional. Populasi 159 dan sampel 40. Pengumpulan data dengan angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian diuji dengan uji validitas menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment dari Pearson dan uji reliabilitas dengan rumus Spearman Brown. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif persentase,statistik korelasional, dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Pelaksanaan sistem zonasi penerimaan peserta didik baru dari peserta didik yang menjadi sampel penelitian mayoritas dalam kategori cukup (37,50%). 2) Tingkat motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tegal tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 mayoritas dalam kategori kurang (27,50%). 3) Ada pengaruh yang negatif dan signifikan sistem zonasi penerimaan peserta didik baru terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Kota Tegal tahun pelajaran 2019/2020, Hasil perhitungan analisis statistik korelasi diperoleh rxy = -0,452 dengan rtabel = 0,312, maka rxy> rtabel. Hasil perhitungan analisis regresi linier sederhana, diperoleh a = 160,707 dan b = -0,562, jadi Y = 160,707 - 0,562X. Uji-t diperoleh thitung = -3,120, dengan ttabel = 1,684. Karena nilai -thitung< -ttabel, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap variabel Y. Jika nilai Sig. lebih kecil dari α (0,05) maka dikatakan signifikan. The zoning system is the basic foundation of the overall arrangement of school reform from kindergarten, elementary, junior high to high school. The existence of this zoning system is a way for learners to adapt to the school which they considered undesirable. Rules zoning admission of new students in 2019 is different than last year. Initial findings indicate that the zoning-based PPDB there an impact not only on the characteristics of students who received school but also the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this study to determine: 1) the implementation of the zoning system admission of new students, 2) the level of motivation of learners, and 3) whether there is influence zoning system admission of new students to the motivation of learners in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Tegal Year Lessons 2019/2020. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of non-experimental studies are correlational. The population of 159 and 40. The sample data was collected with questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The research instrument was tested by validity using a formula of the Pearson product moment correlation and reliability testing with Spearman Brown formula. Data analysis using descriptive statistical percentages, statistical correlation and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed: 1) Implementation of the zoning system admission of new students from learners in the research samples sufficient majority in category (37,50Y9). 2) The level of motivation of learners in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Tegal 2019/2020 school year the majority in the poor category (27.50 "0). 3) There is a negative and significant influence zoning system admission of new students to the motivation of learners in class XI SMA Negeri 5 Tegal academic year 2019/2020, the calculation results of statistical analysis obtained correlation r xy - -0.452 with rape - 0,312, then r xy? Itabe- result of the calculation is simple linear regression analysis, obtained by a - 160.707 and b - -0.562, so the Y - 160.707 - 0,562X. T-test is obtained tniung "-3.120, with trabei" 1.684. Because the value - t € -ttabets it can be concluded that the variable X has a negative effect on the variable Y. If the value of Sig. smaller than «(0.05) it is said to be significant. The calculation result obtained by the Sig. - 0.003 «0.05 so significant. Suggestions submitted to the teacher BK further optimize the implementation of the guidance and counseling program in schools in developing the potential of learners optimally to increase learning motivation. It is to overcome kemugkinan decrease in motivation of learners with the implementation of the zoning system admission of new students.
