Abstract

ENDAH PANGESTI. 3216500006. Public Socio-Economic Study of Fish Cultivation Development at Minapolitan Area in the sub District of Lebaksiu, Tegal Regency. (Preceptor : Suyono dan Sutaman). Minapolitan is part of agropolitan area that consists of two words, are mina and politan. In Minapolitan, sub District of Lebaksiu, there are 54 Production Household Units (RTP) consisting of 10 Hatcheries and 44 Enlargement Units. The purpose of this study was to find out the socioeconomic condition, socioeconomic influence, and the effect of socioeconomic status to the sustainability of fish cultivation bussiness in Minapolitan area at the Lebaksiu District, Tegal Regency. This research was conducted in November 2019. The method that used on this researchare descriptive and quantitative methods with total sample as 16 respondents. The techniquethat used are observation and interview by used the questionnaire about social and economic. The result shows that the social conditionof community which included education were in the moderate category about 2/3 of senior high school (SMA) graduate, community's income was classified as moderate income with average income as Rp. 1,625,000. Cultivation business activities are included as main and side jobs. The highest level of profit is obtained from catfish farming, which is followed by the cultivation of pomfret, Gouramy culture and Tilapia culture. In general, the socioeconomic conditions of the aquaculture community is quite good. So that fish cultivation in Lebaksiu District, Tegal Regency can be said that is feasible to be continue.
