Abstract

Puji Ning Anita, 2020, Analysis of TheCompany’s Operating Capabilities, The Asset Utilization, The Profit Proportion, andThe Debt Repaymentas Determinantsof The Dividend Payout Ratio On Agricultural Sector Companies Period 2015-2019 Listed OnIndonesian Stock Exchange The reason this research is conducted is because the researcher wants to know or analyze the agricultural sector companies in operation, wants to know how companies use or use assets, wants to know how companies divide profits between for company development or investing. Because the company wants growth and dividend payments to shareholders. The payment of dividend affect the amount of income and the stock price, and vice versa.The percentage of income paid to investors is called the dividend payout ratio.This studypurposed to examine the effect of the company's operating ability, the asset utilization, the profit proportion, and the debt repayment to the dividend payout ratio. In this study the population of 21 agricultural sector companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2015-2019.Determination of the sample using purposive sampling technique with determined criteria so that yield of 8 agricultural sector companies sample.The data used on it research are secondary data form annual financial reports on agricultural sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. The analysis technique uses here is multiple regression and hypothesis testing uses the t test (partial) and f test (simultaneous) with level of significance 5%. This study provides the results that partially the company's operating ability as measured by time interest earned,the assets utilization proxied by total asset turnover,and the debt repayments as measured by cash rationot significant effect on the dividend payout ratio.Whereas the profit proportion proxied by percentage of earnings retained has a negative effect on the dividend payout ratio. Then simultaneous explain that the company's operating ability (time interest earned), the asset utilization (total asset turnover), the profit proportion (percentage of earnings retained), and the debt payments (cash ratio) have a positive and significant effect on the dividend payout ratio on agricultural sector companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019.Future research is expected to use other variables or different from this study such as the ability to generate profits before interest and taxes and the use of net working capital.Due to time constraints in the study, it is suggested that future research the scope of the research sample be extended to other companies.
