Abstract

Fitri, Istirokha Siyam. 1616500017: 2021. “Students’ Perception Toward Online Learning During Covid-19.” Research project Strata 1, English Education Department of Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Pancasakti University Tegal. The first Advisor is Dr. Yoga Prihatin, M.Pd and The Second Advisor is Yuvita, M.Pd. Key words: Students’ Perception, Online Learning, Covid-19 Pandemi. Online learning is any learning that is internet-enabled or web-based. It is used now in Indonesia because of the Covid-19 pandemic. This research explained students’ perception toward online learning during covid-19 (a descriptive study on the fifth semester students of English Education Department Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Pancasakti Tegal in academic year 2020/2021). This research used a descriptive-qualitative research method. The researcher chose the 5th semester as a sample consisted of 54 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used questionnaires, thus validity and reliability were checked by Correlation Product Moment in SPSS 22. There are questionnaire and only 23 valid questions since sig. (2-tailed)] <significant level (α) 0.05. It is reliable because has cronbachalpha> 0.6. From the data analysis, the researcher found conclusion of students’ perception toward online learning during covid-19 as follows: 40% students answered neutral for interctivity, 42% neutral in independency, 41% neutral in accessibility, and 50% students answered neutral in enrichment. It means student can adapt the online learning system to temporarily replacing conventional learning during Covid-19 pandemic. Even though the student found the difficulties when interactive with the teacher during discussion, it is not giving much trouble.
