Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze how much influence the independent variables profitability, liquidity and business risk have on capital structure with company size as moderating variable. The population in this study is the Basic Industry and Chemicals sector, the main board index listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018- 2021 period, totaling 80 companies. The sample of this study amounted to 30 companies selected based on purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used moderated regression analysis. The results of the study can be concluded that profitability and liquidity have a significant effect on capital structure, while business risk has no effect on capital structure and firm size can moderate the effect of liquidity on capital structure while firm size cannot moderate the effect of profitability and business risk on capital structure.
