Abstract
This thesis entitled "(The Effect of Using Unpolished Granite Waste as a Partial Substitute for Coarse Aggregate on the Compressive Strength of K-175 Concrete)" This thesis was written by M.LUTHFUL HAKIM, NPM 6516500061.2023 Civil Engineering Study Program, Pancasakti University of Tegal, Granite Flooring, or another name for Homogeneous tiles, lately more and more in demand. This first floor material is so preferred because of its strong durability so it is not easily scratched and damaged. In addition, granite floors also have natural motifs. The granite motifs that are presented are also very varied, so that granite floors can be installed in various locations, starting from the front porch area of the house, garage, family room, to the kitchen. Not only that, granite floors also have a unique texture. Unpolished granite floors, for example, have a fibrous surface texture and tend to be rough. This type of granite floor is perfect for installation in areas that get wet easily, such as bathrooms and areas around swimming pools. The fibrous texture of unpolished granite floors will reduce slippery. Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water, with no additional admixtures to form a solid mass. In a general sense, concrete means a mixture of building materials in the form of sand and gravel or coral, which is then bound with cement mixed with water. With this the higher use of concrete makes the need for concrete production also increase. Not only that, with the high demand for concrete in the world of construction, the use of aggregate as a supporting material for concrete is also increasing. The compressive strength of the concrete load is the amount of load per unit area that causes the concrete specimen to collapse when loaded with a certain compressive force generated by the press machine. Concrete compressive strength is the most important characteristic in concrete quality compared to other properties. in conducting research on unpolished granite waste as a partial substitute for coarse aggregate for the compressive strength of concrete the authors use the experimental method, the experimental method is an action and xi observation planned in order to produce a product that can be useful and used by the general public. The purpose of writing the innovation of tile waste as coarse aggregate in concrete is to determine the quality of the concrete that will be produced with the innovation of unpolished granite waste as coarse aggregate. Research on unpolished granite waste as a coarse aggregate on the compressive strength of concrete will be carried out in the laboratory of PT. Nisajana Hasna Rizqy - Tegal Regency as a means of place and means of supporting research, method of analyzing data from laboratory test results, laboratory tests carried out are as follows, weighing material using a balance, screening aggregate using one specified by SNI, testing specific gravity and absorption, weight content, as well as silt content in coarse aggregate and fine aggregate, testing of density, volume of mixed production and air content of concrete with slump test, testing of flexural strength values with SNI beam test objects The different proportions of the mixture aim to find the proportion of the variant that is capable of producing the best compressive strength values. Some of the variants made include the 50% pure material variant 50% waste material, the use of 80% -20 pure waste variant for K-175 quality concrete can achieve planned quality in accordance with the concrete job mix.
