Abstract

Eko Sugeng Riyadi. 3117500001. Study on Sustainable Potential of Seriding Caught by Encircling Gillnet in Brebes Waters. (Advisor : Sri Mulyani and Kusnandar) Seriding is one of fishery resource most captured by encircling gillnet in Brebes waters. The increase in catch is closely related to abundance/stock of fish resources, therefore it is necessary to study the condition of fish resources seriding in Brebes district. The objective of the research were to: (1) Analyzing Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) (2) Determining of Maximal Sustainable Yield (MSY) (3) Determining the utilization rate (4) Analysis Season index of seriding. The research was conducted since Desember 2017 until February 2018, data was collected by observation, literature riview and interview. Based on research, known that the value of CPUE was 22,42 Kg/trip and MSY of Seriding was 99.684 Kg/year with utilization effort of seriding as 63.330 trip/year. While the average utilization rate reached 68,48% and the pattern of fish catching season occured in February, this is indicated by the index value of the fishing season (IMP) of 158,34%. So it can be concluded that the utilization rate of seriding in Brebes waters has not exceeded the limit of the number of cathces is allowed that is 80%.
