Abstract

Asep Galih Tri Aprilio, 2024 "Redesign of Drainage Channels in the Jatimulya Village Area, Suradadi District, Tegal Regency". Civil Engineering thesis report, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Pancasakti University, Tegal 2024. Rainwater is water vapor that comes from the atmosphere and falls to the earth's surface. Rainwater that falls excessively without any means to absorb it and drain it into the ground will cause negative impacts, such as overflowing rivers and puddles. When the area is located in an area with high rainfall and low-lying land, such as a city that has a dense population, there is limited land that can absorb water. The research carried out was a case study of drainage channels in the Jatimulya village area, Suradadi subdistrict, Tegal district. The method used is descriptive, namely a method that explains objective (actual) conditions in a situation that is the object of study. Primary data was obtained by surveying directly to the research location, by inspecting the research location and interviewing local residents, so that the data obtained was valid and could be continued in the research data processing process. Secondary data is obtained from rainfall data which contains daily rainfall records and climatology data. Daily rain data was taken for 6 years from 2018-2023 which was obtained from the rain station of the Tegal City Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). For this reason, there is a need for a way to overcome the flooding problem on Jalan Gemasari in Jatimulya Village along the 1,000 m drainage channel, so it is necessary to re-plan a new drainage channel. Judging from the results of control discharge check calculations, the Planned Channel Discharge (QR) = 0.789 m³/second is greater than the Existing Discharge (Qᴛ) = 0.120 m³/second, so the channel QR ≥ QE, therefore it is unsafe and floods often occur when it rains. so the way to deal with flooding is by re-planning a new drainage channel on Jalan Gemasari in Jatimulya Village along the 1,000 m drainage channel. Redesign of P1 0+100 and P2 100+200 using U-ditch dimension channels of 60 cm x 80cm. P3 200+385, P4 385+460, and P5 460+700 use dimensions of 60 cm x 80 cm. And P6 700+870 and P7 870+1000 use channels with dimensions of 60 cm x 80 cm. Keywords: Water, Redesign, Drainage.
