Abstract

Griya Bahari Sentosa is a housing complex that often floods when rainfall is high, especially in the Block C and Block D areas with an area of 15,820 m, the time for flooding to occur is ± 2 hours and the inundation height is around 1 m. The cause of flooding is due to poor drainage channels, ranging from accumulation of sedimentation, channel dimensions that are too small to damage to the channel body so that it is unable to accommodate excess water discharge. To overcome this problem, the drainage system was re-planned by changing the dimensions of the old channels to new dimensions including channel 1 from b = 0.3 m, h = 0.7 m to b = 0.4 m and h = 0.53 m channel 2 from b = 0.5 m, h = 0.7 m to b = 0.66 m and h = 0.88 m channel 3 from b = 0.6 m, h = 0.8 m to b = 0.55 m and h = 0.73 m so that the dimensions of the new channel can be more effective in accommodating maximum rainwater discharge so that Griya Bahari Sentosa, especially the Block C and Block D areas, can be free from flooding problems.
