Abstract

Guide II: Renie Tri Herdiani, M.Pd Keywords: Self Management Learning, Individual Counseling Behavioral Approach. Self-management learning is a complex process that guides individuals in developing a more mature personality, facing various challenges that arise both from within themselves and the surrounding environment. This process requires a high level of self-awareness and student responsibility for their learning journey. This research aims to uncover and analyze the factors and root causes that result in a decline in learning self-management abilities, especially in three students in class VIII C at SMPN 3 Brebes in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, which involves collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed descriptively to provide an in-depth picture. The results of the research show that the practice of individual counseling with a behavioral approach carried out on three students succeeded in providing a deeper understanding and perspective on the learning self-management problems faced. Regarding the stages and techniques of counseling, it can be seen that students in class VIII C SMPN 3 Brebes responded positively to the process. Their facial expressions and expressions reflect a better understanding of the problems they face in self-management learning. The behavioral approach implemented was successful in helping students understand and overcome obstacles that might hinder their learning self-management abilities. Thus, it can be concluded that individual counseling with a behavioral approach is able to make a positive contribution in increasing students' understanding and learning self-management skills. A deeper understanding of the factors that cause a decline in learning self-management abilities provides a basis for developing more effective strategies in improving students' learning selfmanagement in the future.
