Najibah, Aenun 2024. 1619500020 : “The Effect of Quiz Instagram Features to Improve Students’ Reading Narrative Text (An experimental research for grade XI at SMA Al-Irsyad Kota Tegal in Academic Year 2023/2024) Research Project Strata I Program. English Department. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Pancasakti University Tegal, The First Advisor is Drs. Rofiudin, M.Hum, and The Second Advisor is Drs. Masfuad Edy S.,M.Pd. Keyword : Reading, Narrative Text, Quiz Instagram Features The objectives of this research to find out the effect of using Quiz Instagram features to Improve Students reading narrative text in XI Grade of SMA Al-Irsyad Tegal. The research hypothesis is a significant effect of using Quiz Instagram Features to students' reading in narrative text. In this research, the population is the eleventh-grade students of SMA Al-Irsyad Tegal, which is 169 students. The researcher uses cluster random sampling with two group designs. The total sample is 68 students, from the experimental and control group. The experimental group employed Quiz Instagram Features reading as a strategy with narrative text as the material, while the control group was employed without using Quiz Instagram Features reading narrative text. After teaching for eight meetings, the researcher gave a reading test to the experimental and control group. The result of the test revealed that the experimental group had improved their writing ability more than the control group, this is evidenced by the mean value of the experimental group post-test 83.97. higher than the mean value of the control group 77.79. The results of the hypothesis test show a significance value of < 0.05, and a calculated t value of 3.313 > 1.997, so it can be stated that there is a significant influence using the Instagram quiz feature on students' reading narrative text, so Ho has no effect and H1 has an effect. In addition, the majority of the students agree that Quiz Instagram Features reading helps to improve students' reading narrative text. In conclusion, teaching reading narrative using Quiz Instagram Features reading has a positive effect on students' reading narrative text. Then, the writer suggests that English teachers use Quiz Instagram Features reading as a learning strategy, and for further reseal the writer expect that this research can be a reference and provide knowledge.
