Abstract

AKBAR, BINTANG KHARISMA, 2024. 161950054 ” The Effect of Using Camera Translator Application on Students’ Vocabulary Mastery (An Experimental Research on Tenth-Grade Accounting Students of SMK N 1 Warureja in the Academic Year of 2023/2024. Research Project. English Education. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Universitas Pancasakti Tegal. First Advisor is Yuvita, M.Pd and the second Advisor is Noeris Meiristiani, M.Pd. Key Words: Camera Translator, vocabulary, language learning, educational app The objective of this research is to find out the effect of using application Camera Translator on the students’ vocabulary mastery. The methodology of this research is true-experimental research with two-group design. The population of this research is the tenth-grade Accounting students of SMK N 01 Warureja with total 144 students. The sample is X AKL 2 as experimental group and X AKL 4 as control group consist 36 students each group taken by using simple random sampling technique. The technique of collecting data is pretest and post-test and data analyzed by using the formula of research data analysis and SPSS 22 application. The mean in pre-test score of control class was 57,29 and in the post-test was 65,35 while the mean of pre-test score of experimental class was 60,31 and in the post-test was 81,39. It means that the most improvement was in the experimental class. For further evidence, scientific calculation was used by utilizing SPSS application. The value of Sig. in experimental group was 0,000 that means lower than the value of Sig. < 0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means using Camera Translator is effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery. Based on the result finding of this research, there is positive effect of the using Camera Translator application on students’ vocabulary mastery on Tenth-Grade Accounting Students of SMK N 1 Warureja in the Academic Year of 2023/2024.
