Abstract
LUKMAN PRANOTO YUDO. NPM. 3216500011. Effect of Differences in Rainfed and Freshwater Filled on Growth Rate of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in Randusanga Wetan Village, Brebes Regency. (Supervisor: SRI MULATSIH AND MUHAMMAD AL-JABRI). Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the fisheries commodities that are popular with the community in meeting animal protein needs because it has thick meat and good taste. Tilapia is also an excellent export fish that continues to increase as evidenced by the number of requests that continue to increase each year. In an effort to increase tilapia production, it is necessary to test suitable and good water media in order to increase the growth of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research aims to find out better water media between rainwater or fresh water on the growth rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The method used in this study was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two different treatments, 3 replications. Change variables are rainwater, freshwater and control variables, namely: Treatment A1 (filtered fresh water), A2 (filtered rainwater), K1 (control 1, unfiltered fresh water) and K2 (control 2, water unfiltered rain). The results showed that the growth rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) maintained in rain water media was not significantly different (P ˃ 0.05) from that maintained in fresh water. Keywords: Tilapia, Rainwater, Fresh Water, Growth Rate.
