Research Project Strata 1 Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Pancasakti University Tegal, The First Advisors is Dr. Yoga Prihatin M. Pd and The Second Advisors is Sumartono M. Pd Keywords: vocabulary, watching movie, correlation This study aims to find out how the correlation between students' habits of watching English films and their vocabulary mastery. Hypothesis is an answer to a problem that still has to be proven true. The alleged answer is a temporary truth, which will be proven by data collected through research. The researcher formulated the following hypothesis: Ho: there is no significant correlation between watching movies and vocabulary mastery on second semester students of English Department at Pancsakti University Tegal Ha: there is a significant correlation between watching movies and vocabulary mastery on second semester students of English Department at Pancsakti University Tegal. In this research, the researcher used a quantitative approach with correlation method. Correlation method is most appropriate for this research. The population of this research is second semester students. The researcher used a random sampling technique to select the research sample, and she chose 20 students as the sample. Data collection technique researcher used two method collect data in this research by distributing questionnaires and vocabulary test. This questionnaire is assessed using a Likert scale. The question indicators that will be given consist of habit factor (frequency, repetition, and automation), advantages and disadvantages, movie is a medium for learning vocabulary. To analyze the data, the researcher used the calculation and correlation of the two variables using SPSS 22 and the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient Formula. Based on calculations using the SPSS 22 program, the total calculation is variable X (students' habit of watching English films) and variable Y (vocabulary mastery). The result is an r of 0.641 and a significant value of 0.002. Based on the correlation index number, the r value (0.641) is included in the high category (between 0.600 and 0.799). Based on these findings, the researcher found that there was a positive and significant correlation in the high category between students' habits of watching English films and vocabulary mastery in the second semester of Pancasakti University of Tegal. It is important for students to get used to seeing English-language movies since it helps them build their vocabulary. The use of movies media in the teaching and learning process can increase students' motivation to participate in the learning process, which is of great benefit to teachers. The researchers also expect that future researchers would carry out similar studies in deeper and broader areas because this study only looked at two 8 factors, namely the connection between students' movie-watching habits and vocabulary development.
