Abstract
FELIX ZUMARRAGA (NPM: 3120600015) Bioaccumulation of heavy metal lead (Pb) and Escherichia coli bacteria in green mussels (Mythilus viridus) at Tegalsari Beach Fishing Port, Tegal City (Supervisor : NOOR ZUHRY and HERU KURNIAWAN ALAMSYAH). Green mussel (Mythilus viridus) is a fishery commodity in Tegal waters that is very popular with the public. Lead (Pb) is important in the world of health, the absorption of lead in the body is very slow, resulting in accumulation and becoming the basis of progressive poisoning. Exposure to lead (Pb) to the body can cause extensive effects, such as effects on the development of the nervous system, damage to kidney function, hypertension, and impaired fertility. This study aims to measure the water quality of Tegalsari Beach fishing port as a green mussel fishing ground. In the sample results, the Escherichia coli content shows that it shows according to SNI 2332.1-2015 Standard. In the sample results, the lead content shows that it is in accordance with SNI Standard 2354.5: 2011. The value of lead content is less than 1.0 mg / kg, namely 0.136 mg / kg. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the water quality of Tegalsari Beach fishing port as a green mussel fishing ground shows safe according to the provisions of SNI consumption standards. The lead content in green mussels found in the waters of the Tegalsari Beach fishing port shows a low value according to SNI. 2354.5:2011. The content of E. coli bacteria in green mussels found in the waters of the Tegalsari Beach fishing port shows a low value according to SNI. 2332.1-2015. Keywords: Green mussels, lead, E. coli, water quality
